Kirilov/Darchinyan

Here we have the main event of the Showtime card from tonight. Two guys who I am familiar with but have never seen fight. Darch is a favorite coming into this fight. Let's see if this is justified. Kirilov comes out slow and looking like shit to be quite frank. Darch is having his way early. Landing his big left hand an setting it up well with the jab. I should also note as i watch this im playing Streetcleaner by Godflesh in the background. 10-9 round for Darch

Round 2:
More of the same to start, Darch measuring with the jab and landing his left hand. Kirilov is landing nothing and eating plenty for his troubles. Kirilov finally throws a hook to the body. Kirilov continues to eat Darchs big left straight. This is still all Darch. all about that left straight to the head. 10-9 Darch

Round 3:
Freddie Roach asking Kirilov to throw combos. he starts of with two hooks to the body. not much else. Darch is looking very strong landing with the left almost at will. he hurt Kirilov with a big left and is hurt right back by Kirilov. Finally he has an answer for Darch's left. But one nice punch is not enough for Kirilov to win this round or any other round for that matter. 10-9 Darch

Round 4:

Darch is tagging him more but Kirilov is looking more alive now. Darch is getting comfortable now and seems to not respect Kirilov's power. Unless something changes with 30 seconds this is another round for Darch. Kirilov seems to have nothing to offer. He can't seem to do anything Freddie Roach is asking of him. 10-9 Darch

Round 5:
Darch comes out strong again and both men trade leading to Darch dropping Kirilov at the end of a crisp combination. He answers the count. Darch is on him right away. He drops him again. Kirilov is finished and wants no more of this beating. Ohhhh good ole Gary Shaw is in the ring. I will miss him in the background at Elite XC shows audibly telling fighters exactly what to say in their post fight interviews. KO 1:05

Well this is the first I've seen of Kirilov and I was not impressed. He looked slow and like he didn't want to be there. Darchinyan on the other hand looked like a little beast with lots of power. I will definitely try and track down more of his fights...Kirilov not so much.
